Nothing better than running under the lights at the Woodbridge Classic! The Varsity Boys WON their division! They were led by Alec Redmond, who finished 5th in 14:58! Sam Rounds, Jonas Johnson and Jax Leon all finished in the top 40 and Alex Li took the 5th spot for the Lions. The top 5 all PR’d by a minute or more. Sophomores Max Li, and Cooper McGinness also ran well for the boys. The girls team finished 18th, led by Olivia Johnson and followed by Stella Louney, Brooke Kirchner, Alena Wong, Joy McDaniel and Grace Bardsley. Louie McNatt earned a spot in the elite Sweepstakes Race where she ran against many of the top girls in the country. She ran a great race, finishing 60th in 17:19; a PR by 56 seconds! Go Lions!

Great day at Golden Gate Park! A beautiful course, perfect racing weather and some great races! Freshmen Boys took 4th place with a top 5 of Ayden Celeste, Ben Cook-Appel, Owen Correia, Ben Wilson and Ethan Roach. Frosh/Soph Girls were 9th, with Alena Wong, Grace Bardsley, Joy McDaniel, Katie Locke and Peri Cressan scoring for the Lions. Sophomore Boys took 7th, led by Jonas Johnson with an 8th place individual finish and followed by Rowan Kliman, Cooper McGinness, Connor McGinness and Owen Anderson. The Varsity Girls were led by Louie McNatt with an impressive 5th place finish in 16:19 for the 2.78 mile course. The Varsity Boys finished off the day with a strong 6th place finish out of 29 teams. Alec Redmond led the team with a blazing 14:13 for 6th place. Sam Rounds nabbed the last medal finishing in 12th place. Other scorers were Jax Leon, Alex Li and Joseph Henly. Way to go, Lions!

The Freshmen Boys started off the day with a win! Led by the trio of Ben Cook-Appel, Ayden Celeste and Owen Correia. The next three Lions, Ethan Roach, Sujadullah Amarkil and Ben Wilson, weren’t too far behind with the top 6 all finishing within 54 seconds. The Sophomore Boys followed with a 5th place team finish. The top 5 (Max Li, Connor McGinness, Rowan Kliman, Owen Anderson and Jacob Wehling) all finished within 20 seconds of each other! The Varsity Boys team took 7th place led by a 5th place individual finish from Alec Redmond. He ran a course PR of 55 seconds and is now #3 on McClatchy’s All-Time list for the course. Also scoring for the LIons were Jax Leon, Sam Rounds, Alex Li and Joseph Henly. On the girls side, the Frosh/Soph team took 6th place. Stella Louney led the team, followed by Joy McDaniel, Grace Bardsley, Alena Wong and Katie Locke. The Varsity Girls took 8th place, once again led by Louie McNatt with a second place overall finish, a course PR by 51 seconds and the second fastest McClatchy time ever on the course. Other scoring runners for the Lions were Olivia Johnson, Colette Combrink, Brooke Kirchner and Claire Mills. Great job everyone conquering Big Mamma, Little Sister and the heat! Go Lions!

The Varsity Girls started off the morning with an impressive 2nd place finish by Louie McNatt! It was the second fastest ever by a McClatchy runner on that course. She was followed by Olivia Johnson, Jillian Palmer, Brooke Kirchner and Colette Combrink for an 8th place team finish out of 18 teams. The Varsity Boys also had a strong start with Alec Redmond, Sam Rounds and Jax Leon all medalling. Alec and Sam also made McClatchy’s top list at #3 and #7, respectively. Alex Li and Joseph Henly rounded out the top 5 and helped the team to a 9th place finish out of 28. The Frosh/Soph girls were up next with a 10th place finish. They were led by sophomore Stella Louney and other scoring runners were Joy McDaniel, Grace Bardsley, Alena Wong and Katie Locke. The Sophomore Boys team came in 5th, led by Connor McGinness. Owen Anderson, Connon McGinness, Max Li and Jonah Darling completed the top 5. Last, but not least, the Freshmen Boys had the highest team finish of the day coming in 4th. They were led by Ayden Celeste with a 4th place individual finish. The other scorers were Owen Correia, Ben Wilson, Adam Barnard and Santiago Godnick. Great job to ALL the athletes who competed in our first meet! Go Lions!
